The total inside floor space of each villa is around 110m2, not including 3 balconies and the patio in front of each villa. The villas are surrounded by a newly set up garden featuring only local plants and is situated in the centre of our large orange grove comprising of circa 20,000 trees. Orange Grove Residence is located to the west of central Algarve, in the heart of Silves’ orange region in the beautiful Arade river valley and part of Portugal’s National Agricultural Reserve. We’re also near some of the best beaches (just 20 to 30 minutes drive away), and not far from the west coast nature reserve with its less commercialised beaches.  We are just 3km from the Algarve’s ancient capital, the historic Silves, which has many extraordinary monuments and places to visit, including one of the best preserved Moorish fortresses in Portugal: Silves castle. There are plenty of good restaurants in Silves and nearby. 

Additional nearby highlights include: the charming town of Monchique, famous for its thermal springs, historic architecture, and local handicrafts; Mount Fóia—the Algarve’s highest peak at 902 meters with its breathtaking panoramic views; and a network of well-maintained mountain trails that wind through the region’s lush landscapes.   The Arade river reservoir is less than 10Km from our property where you can picnic, bird-watch, cycle or hike, or even take a solar-powered boat cruise. Other attractions nearby include horse riding, off-road buggy tours, the many golf courses, various sea excursions (including to the famous Benagil), waterparks and water sports, all reachable in around 30 minutes driving time.
