I wouldn't hesitate to return, or rather, I WILL return. After a personal problem (our dog died) and having to cancel our reservation on a well-known website just one day before, Filipe did everything he could to ensure it cost us ZERO euros. So, after getting everything arranged, we needed a few days away from home.<br \/>From the very first minute, Filipe's service was outstanding. His friendly approach made us feel right at home. He even provided a \"starter kit\" in case we hadn't bought anything beforehand. I'd say the apartment has everything we need; you don't need to bring anything. Everything was very clean and well-maintained, and the pools were spotless. The air conditioning was incredibly quiet in every room of the apartment, which is highly recommended if you're traveling with pets. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle, this is the place for you. Everything is under 30 mins with a car, Faro about 45 minutes. The villas are absolutely sparkling clean, and fully equipped (full washer \/ dryer, vacuum, TVs, full fridge \/ freezer) for your stay in the Algarve.<br \/><br \/>The pictures here and on the website don\u2019t fully do the location justice. Stayed 6 days and regretted having to leave to a 5 star hotel in Lagos, much much preferred staying here, just did not know it would be so comfortable and peaceful.<br \/><br \/>Host (Felipe) is absolutely awesome and such a nice person, there to help. If you are considering staying here, don\u2019t hesitate. Surrounded by orange trees, it was like we were in Paradise. Our host Philip made sure that we didn't miss anything, starting from the warm welcome with a basket of welcome products and detailed information about what attractions we could visit, with a suggestion for good restaurants. Our apartment had incredible views on both sides. I wake up in the morning with a sunny and incredible view around. I sat on the terrace with a cup of coffee and enjoyed the peace and quiet. The apartments are impeccably furnished and stylish, there is everything you need to feel like at home. And the washing machine, dryer and dishwasher are a super bonus. I want to thank our host Philip from the bottom of my heart, he was always available for any questions and information. What a great place to stay! Very well equipped apartments, great pool and some additional outdoor games for our two daughters. in diesem Fr\u00fchjahr zum zweiten Mal in der \u201eOrange Grove Residence\u201c waren, wurden wir von Filipe mit dergleichen Herzlichkeit empfangen, mit der er uns im letzten Jahr verabschiedet hatte. Leider musste er schon am n\u00e4chsten Morgen nach England fliegen, um einige unaufschiebbare Termine wahrzunehmen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Die \u201eOrange Grove Residence\u201c ist ein Ort der Ruhe, Stille und Beschaulichkeit, ein Refugium zum Wohlbefinden und Kraft-Sch\u00f6pfen im gr\u00fcnen Hinterland der Algarve, wo die Ausl\u00e4ufer der Serra de Monchique enden.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Der Kontrast zum quirligen Leben an der K\u00fcste k\u00f6nnte nicht gr\u00f6\u00dfer sein. Durch eine z\u00fcgellose Bauwut in den touristisch erschlossenen Zentren hat sie ihre fr\u00fchere Sch\u00f6nheit verloren. Jetzt bestimmen seelenlose Wohnt\u00fcrme (Portim\u00e3o) die Szenerie, dazu unpers\u00f6nliche Hotelburgen und schlimmer noch die entsetzlichen Apartmentblocks (Albufeira), die sich regelrecht zu einer wei\u00dfen Drohkulisse aufget\u00fcrmt haben.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Die \u201eOrange Grove Residence\u201c passt nicht in dieses Bild. Sie ist ein R\u00fcckzugsort f\u00fcr alle, die noch die urspr\u00fcngliche Algarve erleben wollen. Sie liegt in exponierter Lage auf einer Anh\u00f6he, umgeben von hunderten von Orangenb\u00e4umen, mit weiten Blicken in eine facettenreiche Landschaft, eine gute halbe Autostunde vom Meer entfernt. Hier beginnt die Felsenalgarve mit den bizarren Gesteinsformationen, einem dichten Wegenetz und zahlreichen Badebuchten, die mit ihrem gold-gelben Sand viele Leute anlocken (z. B. Praia da Marinha \/ Pr. de Vale Centianes \/ Pr. de Benagil).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Silves hingegen, die kleine Provinzstadt am Rio Arade mit der weithin sichtbaren Burg aus maurischer Zeit, ist nur einen \u201aSteinwurf\u2018 weit weg. Sie kann auf eine lange Geschichte zur\u00fcckblicken und verstr\u00f6mt wegen ihrer pittoresken Ansichten einen besonderen Charme. Und sie kann au\u00dferdem mit zwei Museen punkten, diel einen Besuch wert sind.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Die\u201eOrange Grove Residence\u201c:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Die Wohnanlage der \u201eOrange Grove Residence\u201c besteht aus sechs Wohneinheiten in Flachbauweise. Trotz des einheitlichen Baustils erscheint sie nicht wie eine Kaserne, sondern zeigt sich von klarer, funktionaler Leichtigkeit. Erzielt wird dieser Effekt durch die bodentiefen Fenster, die zur\u00fcckspringenden Balkone und die Br\u00fcstungen aus transparentem Glas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Angegliedert an die G\u00e4stewohnungen ist das stattliche Wohnhaus von Filipe. Es ist sozusagen die Kommandozentrale der \u201eOrange Grove Residence\u201c; hier werden alle Entscheidungen getroffen, die notwendig sind, um die Residenz sicher durch die Zeiten zu bringen. Mit kritischen Blicken verfolgt Filipe ihre Umsetzung.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wer eine Frage hat oder ein Problem, f\u00fcr den wird sein Haus zur ersten Anlaufstelle. In der Regel ist schnell eine L\u00f6sung gefunden. Das ist vor allem dem Engagement von Filipe zu verdanken, der die Dinge gr\u00fcndlich angeht.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wir wollen uns jetzt den Ferienwohnungen zuwenden. Als erstes f\u00e4llt auf, dass allen ein und derselbe Grundriss zugrunde liegt; d. h. bei der Aufteilung der R\u00e4ume gibt es keinen Unterschied. Unten im Parterre eine gut ausgestattete Wohn-Ess-K\u00fcche, vor allem mit Ger\u00e4ten, die das t\u00e4gliche Leben erleichtern und aus einem modernen Haushalt nicht mehr wegzudenken sind: Sp\u00fclmaschine \/ Waschmaschine \/ Trockner.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Und alle diejenigen, die selbst im Urlaub nicht auf den TV-Trash verzichten wollen, k\u00f6nnen beruhigt sein. Direkt hinter der Eingangst\u00fcr \u201aprangt\u2018 das dunkle Panel eines Flachbildschirms auf der wei\u00df gestrichenen Wand.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Auf dergleichen Ebene geht es nach \u201ahintenraus\u2018 \u2013 also zur Nordseite \u2013 in ein kleines B\u00fcro mit Schreibtisch und Schlafcouch, das auch als G\u00e4stezimmer genutzt werden kann. Eine Dusche mit WC ist gleich nebenan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Die obere Etage \u2013 \u00fcber einen zweigeteilten Treppenaufgang erreichbar \u2013 ist ausschlie\u00dflich als Schlaftrakt gedacht, bestehend aus zwei ger\u00e4umigen Zimmern. Das linke (nach S gerichtet) zeigt auf die beiden Pools und die im Fr\u00fchjahr tiefgr\u00fcne Landschaft, w\u00e4hrend vom gegen\u00fcberliegenden (also nach N hin) der Blick wandert \u00fcber das riesige Terrain mit den nicht enden wollenden Orangenb\u00e4umen, um sich schlie\u00dflich in der Weite des Horizontes zu verlieren.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Was uns besonders fasziniert hat, war das Licht, das schon fr\u00fchmorgens durch die hohen Balkonfenster einstr\u00f6mte und die Zimmer in eine Helligkeit tauchte, die f\u00fcr uns ungewohnt war. Es wirkte als Stimmungsaufheller, der schwere Gedanken vergessen l\u00e4sst und die Leichtigkeit des Seins zur\u00fcckbringt. Gewiss, eine subjektive, auf Gef\u00fchle beruhende Wahrnehmung, stark genug sich einzubilden, das Leben im S\u00fcden z\u00e4hle doppelt.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00dcbrigens: Die Gro\u00dfz\u00fcgigkeit in den Schlafr\u00e4umen fand ihre Fortsetzung auch im Bad: keine bedr\u00fcckende Enge, kein Gerangel um die Rangfolge (wer zuerst? wer zuletzt?), hier gab es unendlich viel Platz um sich \u201aauszubreiten\u2018.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Die Au\u00dfenanlage:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sie gliedert sich in einen privaten Bereich und in einen zweiten, der allen G\u00e4ste zug\u00e4nglich ist. Der private Bereich ist nichts anderes als die von einer Hecke und niedrigen Str\u00e4uchern umgrenzte Terrasse \u2013 ein einladendes \u201aPl\u00e4tzchen\u2018 zum Verweilen, um morgens z. B. die neusten Nachrichten zu studieren, um sich zu sammeln und seine Gedanken zu ordnen, um innezuhalten und zu entspannen oder um sich einfach an der Sch\u00f6nheit des Augenblicks zu erfreuen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Von hier geht es direkt in den Au\u00dfenbereich: ein riesiges Areal, das mit Platten aus hellem Sandstein von 40 x 60 cm ausgelegt ist, unterbrochen von zwei gro\u00dfen Beeten, die \u201aschwimmenden Inseln\u2018 gleich mit mediterranen Gew\u00e4chsen bepflanzt sind.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Das absolute \u201aHighlight\u2018 sind die beiden Pools, die mit reichlich Abstand zueinander liegen: das runde (links) f\u00fcr Schwimmer, das rechte (rechts) f\u00fcr Schwimmanf\u00e4nger, also in der Regel f\u00fcr Kleinkinder. Ihre Ma\u00dfe in Umfang wie in L\u00e4nge und Breite haben uns beeindruckt. Die Technik f\u00fcr die Umw\u00e4lzung und Filterung des Wassers befindet sich in einem Pavillon, so gebaut, dass er der Kr\u00fcmmung des tiefen Beckens angepasst ist.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wer den Tag nicht am Meer verbringen will, kann dies auch am Pool tun. Die weit ge\u00f6ffneten Sonnenschirme rund um den Pool sorgen f\u00fcr n\u00f6tigen Schatten, und verstellbare Outdoor-Liegen laden zum Relaxen ein. Alles ist so gro\u00dfz\u00fcgig angelegt, dass man sich nicht in die Quere kommt; niemand muss bef\u00fcrchten von anderen gest\u00f6rt zu werden.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vor allem f\u00fcr Familien mit Kindern ist die \u201eOrange Grove Residence\u201c ein idealer Ort: sie k\u00f6nnen durch das ganze Gel\u00e4nde streifen, um es auf vielf\u00e4ltige Weise zu erkunden; oder sie k\u00f6nnen, wenn ihnen danach zu Mute ist, in den Pool springen um sich abzuk\u00fchlen oder um einfach nur Spa\u00df zu haben.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Schlussbetrachtung:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Erst vor wenigen Jahren hat sich die \u201eOrange Grove Residence\u201c f\u00fcr den Tourismus ge\u00f6ffnet. Prim\u00e4r ist es ein Landwirtschaftsbetrieb, der sich sowohl auf den Anbau und die Kultivierung von Orangenb\u00e4umen als auch auf den Vertrieb der Fr\u00fcchte spezialisiert hat. Der Markt in diesem Gesch\u00e4ft ist hart umk\u00e4mpft, Preisdruck und die Angst, die Existenz gegen eine starke Konkurrenz zu verlieren, sind eine Herausforderung f\u00fcr jeden Betrieb. Auch Filipe stand vor diesem Problem, und er kam nicht drum herum, sich f\u00fcr die Zukunft eine weitere Einnahmequelle zu erschlie\u00dfen. So entstand die Idee, Landwirtschaft mit sanftem Tourismus zu verbinden, die Umwelt und Natur schont und zugleich auf die Lebensumst\u00e4nde der Menschen R\u00fccksicht nimmt.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Er hat viel Kapital in dieses ehrgeizige Projekt gesteckt. Das Ergebnis sehen wir heute vor uns \u2013 die \u201eOrange Grove Residence\u201c, ein Refugium der Ruhe und inneren Einkehr, ein friedlicher Ort inmitten einer intakten Natur. Die hohe Auslastung und die vielen positiven R\u00fcckmeldungen beweisen, dass sein Konzept bisher aufgegangen ist.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doch am Konjunkturhimmel brauen sich d\u00fcstere Wolken zusammen, ausgel\u00f6st durch die gegenw\u00e4rtigen Krisen.
